Welcome

Hi, I am Aoife and welcome to this space. Let me tell you about my journey and how I got here!

I have always had an interest in health and wellness. As a child I loved nature, whether it was being outdoors playing sport, climbing trees or spending time with my cat Fluffy. I was definitely free-spirited in nature! When I was 18 years old I took a gap year out after secondary school to give me some insight into my journey ahead. During this time I was drawn to Ecuador in South America where I volunteered in the rainforests. It was here through working with the natives that I learned about the power of nature and food as medicine. I was fascinated with their innate wisdom of nature and the land and how to work in harmony with it. They knew they were too apart of nature and respected that gift whole-heartedly. The ate only seasonal food, used plants as medicine and moved effortlessly with the cycles of mother-nature. It was inspiring!

When I returned home, I 'officially' started my wellness journey studying a BSc. (Bachelor Of Science) in Sport Science and Health, followed by a BSc. in Nutrition and Dietetics. From there I went on to work as a Clinical Dietitian for several years in busy medical and mental health hospitals. Although I believed in the power of good nutrition and exercise/movement as medicine to heal and promote wellness, I always felt something was missing. Instead of just treating symptoms, I always wondered 'why do people get sick?. I didn't fully believe in the 'one-size fits all approach' to wellness. I instinctively felt I had outgrown my environment. There had to be a better away. If I am to be very honest, I felt lost at this time in my life and yearning for a purpose that felt passionate and fulfilling. However, I didn't know where to turn.

Although not easy, I made the decision to leave work as a Dietitian and take some time out. To help me get back to nature and where I felt good, I opened a cattery (kennels for cats) at my home. I have to say, that spending time outdoors and working with cats helped me to slow down, ground and reflect. Not knowing it at the time, but it was here that I started my inner journey towards healing.

I guess I always knew deep-down in the unique blueprint that each and every one of us are born with and that everything is energy. We are all made differently on an energetic level. None of us have the same finger-print or tone of voice. Therefore any issue, whether physical, mental or emotional showing up in our lives carries its own frequency and therefore deserves a remedy to match this frequency. I believe it is the only way to achieve lasting health.

This is where the magic of Kinesiology comes in. It allows you to tap into your unique innate intelligence to get to the root cause of any problem (not just merely treating the symptoms) and through natural healing remedies destress the body and allow it to heal itself. I first experienced the power of Kinesiology after I had a miscarriage between my first and second child. It had been weeks post the miscarriage and the medical team were really encouraging me to have surgery to avoid any complications. However, trusting my gut instinct and my dislike for medical intervention if I could avoid it (I believe there is a time and a place for medical intervention too!) I contacted a Kinesiologist for guidance. Within three days of the 'balancing' session, taking a flower essence remedy and doing an NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) exercise at home I no longer required surgery! I couldn't believe it! I was so intrigued and wanted to learn more that I went on to study in Kinesiology. I am pleased to say that I am now a fully qualified Kinesiologist in Applied Physiology.

I too, like you perhaps (if you are reading this), am on a healing journey. I have suffered with anxiety and low mood from a very young age but never really felt I had the tools or resources to help me until I found Kinesiology. Sure, optimal nutrition, movement, getting out in nature, and mindfulness all help. However, Kinesiology has helped me uncover and release outdated limiting beliefs, repressed emotions such as rage and anger, and sabotaging patterns of procrastination which have been holding me back in life. The only way I can describe it is a coming home to myself, my inner self. It is an ace up my sleeve both personally and professionally and I wouldn't be without it. It is truly powerful!

With a passion for energy medicine I am also a fully qualified Rahanni Practitioner and Feng Shui Master. With extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, nutrition and energy medicine, and my natural, caring and empathic personality, you can rest assured that you are in safe hands.

Just as I have helped myself, my family and my clients to achieve improvements in their health and quality of life, I'd like to empower you to come to know yourself better and to help your body heal and function as nature intended. It is what the body is designed to do after all. I provide a safe, non-judgemental and relaxing environment to do just that.

I am based in Celbridge, Co. Kildare where I live with my husband James, our two beautiful children Connie and Hugh and our gorgeous cat Slippers!
